The Presidential Elections is over...and got a fractured toe...

This week has been an eventful week sia....1st I just realised that I had fracture my 4th toe , and that its all JAMES's fault!!!!!...lol....cuz he bang into me when We were playing beach volleyball during the platoon outing like 4 weeks ago sia...haha...mite caused my toe to be a bit crooked and might not be able to bend in the future according to the MO lor...but it shouldn't affect my running lah...but hey.. I am on status for the next 2 weeks..though gotta go back for X-ray here and there...sianz waste my transport fees sia...I WANNA ORD ALREADY!!!!! the nov. batch are ORD-ing next week!!!!....OMG!!!!!!!

This week, we also see Barack Obama becomes the 1st black president in American History...when the declaration of independance was admended to include blacks as an equal. I doubt any of the then pioneers had even imagined such a result in such a country. It's the same with Lewis Hamilton who won the F1 championship, hence becoming the youngest ever world champion at the young age of 23 , millions of dollars in his bank a/c...and pussycat as his gal...whoa...can he really keep his feet on earth??? Will he be mature to take on the challenge in next year? Never before have F1 had so many talented drivers from raikkonen to massa to kubica to alonso...so it will be interesting for next year championships.

After sashay-ing towards the white house with his transition team, President-elect Obama will be truly be put hard to test. Anw, its much better than the bimbo-tic Sarah Palin being VP sia...cannot imagine that man. A VP who had such poor foreign policies attributes, and now its more than ever that the American Governement must make good use of their diplomacies between adverseries and allies the same. Now, the Americans have opted for change, they got their change , but will they be able to handle the change....that will be what the world will be anticipating. On the economic side, being a democrat, Obama is all for the protectionist measures and to bring back jobs back to the states with unemployment ever rising...but will these ways hurt their exports?? And Uncle Sam have been suffering from trade deficits over the years. Anw, the incoming president have really a lot of stuff to do on his table, what are his takes on iraq and afghanistan? What about the ever ongoing 6-party talks with north korea??.

And Of cuz most importantly , the financial crisis that have turned the entire global economy upside down, left right centre....ok maybe not centre..lol..army terms=P...In the 20th century, we had seen the great depressions at the start of the century, followed by a short 8 year bull run. According to statistics, the 20th century had seen 3 bull and 3 bear within the 100 years. the longest bear was 20 years during the great depression..however with the various measures being put into place and unlike last time, information and $$ are transferring faster...most probably this time the bear run may be shorter than ever...right now we are already in the 8th year of the bear run...having started in the 2000...of cuz all these are relevant only to the US market , unlike Singapore which had been bullish ever since the SARS times in 2003. Unfortunately for us, our situation here is greatly linked to the US economy, so wadever is happening over there, it affects us as well. Wonder whether Mr Obama's adminstration is going to place in more regulations over the market due to his democrats' ideals ? If that's so , I think the world is going to ever turn more to China and India where the greatest demand will come from. But in any case, the whole world will be eagerly watching Mr Obama's every move and policies from now on...so it will be kinda interesting =P...As for the investor part of me, I will greatly like to invest in blue chips nowadays, with such defensive kind of stocks had drop from their perviously high prices...but need to work on getting more info about the companies....very interested in Hyflux at the moment, and they had just posted a good returns this quarter and with good EPS as well at around $2 plus...hopefully the market will bottom out next year...but think this bear run is going to end soon...Anw there is still a lot of stuff that I need to learn, so dun fully believe the stuff that I said over the stock markets...
